Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract was concluded.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us

of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but this is not mandatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your notice exercising the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Consequences of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we receive notification of your withdrawal. We will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise; in no event will you be charged any fees as a result of this reimbursement.

Premature expiry of the right of withdrawal for digital services

Journalyze is a digital service that is not supplied on a tangible medium. In accordance with § 356 (4) BGB, your right of withdrawal expires before the end of the fourteen-day period if:

• you have expressly consented to us beginning to perform the contract before the end of the withdrawal period; and
• you have confirmed your acknowledgement that, by giving this consent, you lose your right of withdrawal upon the commencement of performance of the contract.

When you subscribe to a paid plan, access to the paid features is enabled immediately. You are therefore asked at checkout to give the express consent and acknowledgement described above. Once we have begun to provide the service on that basis, your right of withdrawal lapses and no refund of the current billing period can be claimed. You can cancel your subscription at any time with effect for the end of the current billing period; we do not issue pro-rata refunds for periods already started.

This does not affect any mandatory statutory warranty rights or claims based on defects in the service.
